South Devon Skateboarding Heritage Project
“Documenting history in Ivybridge and beyond to foster an appreciation of skateboarding as a sport, culture, and lifestyle”

What is the heritage project for?
This is the beginning of a long term project that aims to preserve an informal historical archive of skateboarding in Ivybridge and South Devon. With a long term aim to produce inspiring exhibitions alongside youth workshops and programs to engage the whole of our community; we are dedicated to nurturing an understanding and appreciation of skateboarding as a sport, culture, and lifestyle.
Why should I upload here?
We are aware a great deal of evidence is likely to exist in the community that will help us to tell the story of skateboarding in Ivybridge and beyond. We chose to create this upload page since posts to social media tend to compress the quality of media in order to make website pages faster loading. We are seeking to maintain the highest quality possible.
How do I upload media?
If you have any images, photos or video that you would like to be included in the growing archive we would be very grateful if you would complete your submission below. In particular we are interested in historical rather than current media. It is also very helpful if you can include as much information as possible – for example: dates (even an approximate year), the names of skaters, spots or any other information you feel may be helpful. In addition to images of skateboarding we are also interested in newspaper articles, artwork or any other related sources. File submissions are limited to twenty files but multiple uploads may be made in the case that you have more than this number. If we need further information about your submissions we may like to contact you and so we ask that you include your email address and provide consent too.
