Filham Pump Park
“An innovative UK first designed for ALL user groups and abilities”
Skate South Devon CIC (SSD) are proud to announce that feasibility stage plans for Filham Pump Park are now nearly complete. We still have a long way to go with a lot of work still ahead. However, along with further elevation drawings and a design and access statement, the plans are expected to be submitted for pre-application advice to South Hams District Council soon. The vision is of a multi-purpose space – a social project with it’s heart rooted in wheeled sports and managed sustainably for the benefit of the local community. The plans incorporate ground-breaking concrete curves that have been expertly designed by one of the UK’s finest urban sports designers, Jeremy Donaldson. Jeremy has designed more skateparks in the UK than anyone else and now works internationally with Curve Studio; a company that shares the same vision as SSD – to create active spaces in harmony with nature and community. The plans also include a café / community hub, events space, a workshop, toilets and storage. Our pre-planning consultation period is now open and everyone is invited to have a say on the plans so far (right here using the form below).
Click the buttons above to see the plans for yourself – for now we have released the 2D plan and a 3D model. We have also provided an artistic impression of the facility. Further documents and details will be added as they become available. So please respond now using our consultation form below; do share all your thoughts and comments – your input will really help the project as we move forward!
